There are certain things in the game that are really unwieldy (like moving groceries into the fridge or scrap into the inventor's work table)- it appears you have to move each item separately, even when there are dozens of the same thing. I've got a 2 button mouse and my Sims3 game does not recognize right clicks from it, nor does it respond to ctrl-clicking. If all else fails, you should easily be able to find a cheap USB mouse with two buttons. and are looking at the correct screen in system preferences. If you still can't enable right-clicking, why not take a screenshot of the screen that you're trying to enable right-clicking on so that someone here can make sure you've selected the correct tab, etc. I also have the option to hold "^Control" to zoom while scrolling with my scroll wheel. My default "primary mouse button" is left, but if it were right, left-clicking would be right-clicking with my mouse and vice-versa. Instead, I have the option to choose a "primary mouse button" (left or right,) rather then the option to enable right-clicking. My "Mouse" tab has no "enable right-clicking" option because my mouse has a physical right-mouse button, which is automatically detected. For example, I'm using a Logitech MX500 optical mouse on my Mac Mini. Note: If your using an old Apple mouse that predates right-clicking capabilities, (I think that's pre-G5 era mice,) you need to use a newer mouse, such as the one that came with your iMac (if your iMac can play TS3, it came with a mouse that's capable of right-clicking,) if you're not doing so already.Īlso note that connecting a non-Apple mouse will change the options under that "Mouse" tab. To enable right-clicking, click the at the top-left of you screen and choose "System Preferences." Under "System Preferences" choose "Keyboard and Mouse." You should now see tabs labeled "Keyboard," "Mouse," "Bluetooth," and "Keyboard Shortcuts," click on the one labeled "Mouse." Under the "mouse" tab should be a checkbox that reads "enable right-clicking," once you click on it, you should be able to right-click on your Mac. The "enable right clicking" should be available to you if you're using an Apple mouse if you're not using an Apple mouse, let us know.
